The Skills Program offers free, on-demand training and educational resources for careers in the skilled trades, building the next generation of trades, and construction professionals.

The Network allows jobseekers in construction to connect with hiring Home Depot Pros. As a free benefit of Pro Xtra, it allows Pro customers to find and hire the skilled tradespeople they need to grow their business. It simplifies the hiring process by allowing Pros to easily review candidates’ portfolios, experience, and qualifications. Pros can also post jobs for free.

How much does the Path to Pro program cost?

The Path to Pro program is free. There is no cost for either the Path to Pro Skills Program or the Path to Pro Network.

How does a jobseeker search for work in the Path to Pro Network?

Anyone 18 and older interested in building or furthering a career in the skilled trades can create a free profile and join the Path to Pro Network. Visit https://pathtopro.com/find-jobs to get started.

How do Pro customers gain access to the Path to Pro Network?

When Pro customers sign up for Pro Xtra, The Home Depot’s Free Loyalty Program, they are automatically enrolled in the Path to Pro Network. Pro Xtra members can access the Network by visiting https://homedepot.com/network, where they can post jobs and invite jobseekers to apply.

As a Pro Xtra member, do I need to pay to hire skilled tradespeople?

How long is the Path to Pro Skills Program free training?

The length of free training in the Path to Pro Skills Program varies. Skills Basics introduces students to skilled trades careers and takes approximately 1 hour to complete. Trades Essentials provides specific trade skills, with course length varying by field. Students can pause and resume trainings at any time. Additional Training provides more resources that help elevate and enhance soft skills and provides tips and tricks that can help you begin your trades career journey.

Is the Path to Pro Skills Program training live or virtual?

The Path to Pro Skills Program is on demand with free, virtual training courses available whenever you need them. Students can go through the courses at their own speed, fitting them into their schedule.

What happens after I finish my Skills Program training?

You can build a profile in the Path to Pro Network to let the Pros know you are ready for hire. You can access guides on how to build a great profile to stand out to hiring Pros by visiting https://pathtopro.com/resources-library/#trades-professionals.

Can Home Depot associates participate in Path to Pro?

The Path to Pro program is free for everyone and open to the public. Home Depot associates can participate but must do so on their own time and not while on the clock.
